Cancer: An unfortunate battle faced by so many people everyday, with a vast majority of patients being children. Commonly identified as one of the most devastating chronic diseases, cancer is known to be a very difficult and expensive disease to cure. What’s even more upsetting is how every year, thousands of cancer patients are not able to recieve treatment for their condition due to the unfortunate poverty of their families. Furthermore, the families who are able to supply the required sum for the treatment, often face economic disparities in their households. Moreover, many underprivileged families often temporarily migrate to the urban areas for the treatment of their children, but are met with a common issue of finding good accommodation. That’s why Rashmona Foundation has established the “Rashmona Asroy” to provide a safe environment for these families to reside in while their loved ones receive treatment for their illness. Families of these cancer patients are provided free housing facilities which are in close proximity to hospitals. We try to ensure that the family members can support these brave fighters all throughout the day, and still have a decent rest at nighttime. By eradicating the need to worry about economic hardships, we try to provide these families with a spark of confidence to try to live up to our goals of spreading “Help and Hope.” It further helps the families to fund their children’s treatment more thoroughly, thus maximising the chances of recovery. In this way, we try our best to make this exhausting journey as smooth as possible for these struggling patients and their families.
